Twiin Productions is proud to announce the 19th ANNUAL KIDNEY CANCER BENEFIT - ALL SORORITY VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT. This event will take place on Saturday, April 24, 2010 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Santa Barbara’s East Beach. The All Sorority Volleyball Tournament, sponsored by Alpha Tau Omega of UCSB, is a volleyball tournament in which sororities from all over the state compete for the Hanelt Cup, while raising funds for the KIDNEY CANCER ASSOCIATION in honor of Scott Hanelt, an alumnus who succumbed to this disease several years ago. Last year’s event raised over $40,000 for the cause. The All Sorority Volleyball Tournament will be incorporating 10 of the 14 volleyball courts on East Beach to host the tournament. With the estimated attendance of 4,000 attendees, the event also features a beer garden for those 21 and over, DJs spinning music all day, and various local food vendors and exhibitors. The Kidney Cancer Association is a non-profit organization comprised of doctors, patients, family members, and others who have been affected by kidney cancer. The funds raised from this event will further enable the Kidney Cancer Association to provide resources and conduct research in pursuit of a cure for the fatal disease. Tickets for the All Sorority Volleyball Tournament are on sale now at http://www.beachcitytickets.com. Tickets will be $10 for students and $12 for adults, and prices will go up at the gates to $12 for students and $15 for adults. Twiin Productions has arranged for safe and free roundtrip transportation included with ticket purchase from Bill’s Bus to accommodate the transportation and parking needs for those coming to the beach from Isla Vista. The bus will run from Greek Park in Isla Vista to East Beach from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
Twiin Productions will be hosting a special show featuring reggae sensation REBELUTION on May 6th, 2010 at Santa Barbara’s ARLINGTON THEATRE. The concert is open to all ages and will kick off at 7:00 PM that evening. Hailing from Santa Barbara, Rebelution got their start in Isla Vista by playing local house parties and shows. Now sought out and recognized all around the world, they are taking a break from their international touring schedule to return home from France to play at the Historic Arlington Theatre in the heat of the Cinco De Mayo festivities in Santa Barbara.
